Green Transition of Manufacturing Plants through 'Smart Eco Factory Construction Project,' YERIM is on board!
To leap into an eco-friendly enterprise,
YERIM has participated in the Smart Eco Factory Construction Project organized by the Korea Environmental Corporation!
The Smart Eco Factory Construction Project, spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment, is a core initiative aligned with the Green New Deal policy targeting manufacturing plants. This initiative supports the transition to eco-friendly, low-carbon factories by minimizing pollutants and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It promotes comprehensive consulting, equipment installation, and improvements to enhance energy resource efficiency.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy's Clean Factory (Production Process & Energy Efficiency) Support Program, we aim to accelerate the green transition of manufacturing by supporting the replacement of high-efficiency inverter-type compressors, leading to energy savings.
As YERIM specializes in producing materials essential for interior applications such as doors, mouldings, windows, and kitchens, through this eco-factory construction project, we have significantly improved the efficiency of dust treatment in our production processes by over 50% compared to previous standards. Additionally, the installation of a smart monitoring system enables real-time integrated operation and management.
Moreover, with the installation of industrial overhead doors and solar power generation facilities, we anticipate saving approximately 99.80 MKWh of energy annually and achieving a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by over 47 tons per year.
Recognizing the imperative need for green transitions in the manufacturing sector through the Smart Eco Factory Construction Project, we commit to leveraging this opportunity. We will solidify our foundation for eco-friendly management, including reducing atmospheric pollutants, enhancing energy resource efficiency, and smart facility operations and management. Furthermore, we aspire to lead as a company that contributes to achieving South Korea's 2050 carbon neutrality goals!
